Class descriptions

We strive to be a welcoming and supportive place for anyone who desires to practice regardless of gender, race, size, ability, sexual orientation or experience. We know how scary it can be to show up to a new place and move your body with new people. The good news is, this will be the easiest, scary thing you’ve done in a long time and it will feel INCREDIBLE! So, take a look at our class list and click on the toggle arrow to learn more and sign up!

This class is focused on the sweeter bodily sensations of our physical practice.

Whether you’re new to moving your body, living in an unconventional or injured body, feel very stiff or retired and looking for some regular stretching and flexing, or simply wanting to explore this practice with gentle awareness, this class is for you.

All bodies and experiences welcome. Props are available and encouraged!

We may explore elements of chair yoga, wall yoga, and many other props that offer us the depth of embodiment and movement that honors our unique form. So, come release stress and gently build strength as you increase your flexibility.

Vinyasa links movement and breath to attain balance in the mind and body. From the Sanskrit “to place in a special way,” vinyasa aligns a deliberate sequence of poses with the breath to achieve a continuous and somewhat intense flow. Inhalation is usually connected to upward, open movements, while exhalation is often tied to downward movements or twists.

These classes build heat in the body using surya namaskar (sun salutations) and a wide variety of asanas to get the heart pumping.

Variations will be offered for difficult poses, some yoga experience suggested but not required. You know your body best!

Go deep, but in a sustainable and compassionate way. Come be at ease while opening the body and hydrating, lengthening, and thinning the fascia. This practice consists of longer held postures – often with support. Great mobility and flexibility work. Trust your body’s capacity to release and let go.

All bodies and experiences welcome! Props provided.

Hips and Low Back is a practice that blends traditional asanas & mobility exercises, often holding shapes for several breaths. While there might be some gentle flow sequences, the majority of asanas & movements– supine, prone, seated, and standing are statically held so that you can deeply explore the sensations in your body – with special emphasis on your hips & lower back, while gaining strength and flexibility.

All bodies and experience welcome! If you are prenatal, early postpartum or practicing with injuries, please inform the instructor prior to class by clicking here or verbally at the beginning of class.

Do you have a bun in the oven? Then you need this practice!

In addition to prepping the body and mind for birth and your changing embodiment, we cultivate deep and sincere community together. It takes a village and we love seeing our caregivers and life-bringers supported, uplifted, and rested.

Kirtan is part of an ancient form of yoga known as Bhakti, or the yoga of devotion. Often practiced as a song or chant, set to music. Many kirtan performances are structured to engage the audience where they either repeat the chant, or reply to the call of the singer.

These chants have been sung for millennium and as we sing, we touch the spirits of the millions of people across the centuries who have sung the same songs.

There is no right or wrong way to sing kirtan. Aesthetics don’t matter. All that matters is the spirit, the feeling. Don’t worry about what you sound like, feel whatever you feel, have no expectations, no inhibitions. So whether you have fallen in love with kirtan, or you’re just curious to learn more… Come check it out!

Mala chanting is when we choose one chant and we repeat it together 108 times and is a very powerful and meditative practice.
