Boho Yoga, founded by Lesley Anderson and Rose Schneider in 2017, is a yoga shala situated in the heart of beautiful Oregon Wine Country . With a commitment to holistic practice through an emphasis on meditation, breathing techniques and postural alignment, our mission is to be a valuable community space promoting physical, emotional and spiritual fitness.
Meet The Team
Rose first encountered yoga in 2006, practicing intermittently, but with increasing interest, until 2009 when she began intensive study with her first teacher, Rutu Chaudhari-a devoted student of Aadil Palkhivala. With the primary intent of cultivating the habit of practicing yoga more regularly coupled with Rutu’s expert guidance and passion for a holistic practice, Rose completed her 200 hr certification in an alignment based asana practice in the Purna yoga tradition.
Rose completed her B.A. in Classics from St. John’s College in Santa Fe, NM in 2000, an M.A. in Humanistic Psychology in 2004 and two years of post baccalaureate pre-medical science classes. She enjoys synthesizing into her teaching her many years of academic study combined with her current interests in eastern philosophy, contemplative neuroscience, yoga and meditation.

Lesley is excited to fulfill a dream of creating a beautiful and welcoming space where yoga can be shared and enjoyed as a path to greater health and well-being.
Lesley has had a relationship with yoga since the age of 13. After the sudden death of her mother, she sought understanding and peace. She reached out to her aunt, Pravavijika Vrajaprana, a Hindu writer, scholar, and nun at the Vedanta society of Southern California, for help. Vrajaprana introduced yoga concepts and meditation to Lesley and helped peak her interest in philosophy and practice of spirituality. Lesley took yoga classes on and off for the first few years of college until being diagnosed with stress-induced rashes and other physical symptoms of stress in early 2008. At this point, she took a more serious approach to yoga and began to meditate and practice regularly.
Lesley graduated from the University of Oregon in 2011 with a B.S. in Human Physiology. After working in long term care and finishing her nursing per-requisites, Lesley decided to shift her dream of being a nurse into hands-on preventative health. From 2013 – March 2016 Lesley worked as a Personal Trainer & Assitant Fitness Manager at 24 Hour Fitness in Hollywood (Portland)- before leaving for her honeymoon( which consisted of hiking almost 1700 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail… Did we mention she loves the outdoors?!). In March 2015 Lesley graduated as a student of Michele Lowe’s 200 hour yoga teacher training in Portland, OR and began working at The Yoga Space (where she met Rose!) shortly after.
Lesley meditates daily and is currently receiving Meditation instruction from Swami Sarvadevananda in Southern California. Lesley’s classes draw upon her various experiences – including the ups-and downs of gaining and losing 50 pounds, battling loss, stress & anxiety, as well as her background with anatomy and physiology- to provide a fun, welcoming, & safe environment to practice yoga.
